It's been a mainstay of the machine shed on a lot of farms in the U.S. for decades. But by the looks of one on the trade show floor at the 2010 Commodity Classic, the 4020 may have a new future on the hot rod circuit.
On Thursday, automotive designer and hot rod builder Chip Foose of Huntington Beach, California, was joined by representatives from John Deere to unveil the product of months of design and iron work: A 1970 Deere 4020 tractor that's been given the hot rod treatment by Foose and his crew at Foose Design.
